When packing for travelling, we put things in, take things out, and stress over the minor details. After posting my packing lists (beauty and clothes), I thought I would do a little update on my packing mistakes, in the hopes that you can avoid the same issues!
I happily packed three of my favourite nail polishes in my luggage (Essie Ladylike, Essie Splash of Grenadine and Essie Cosy Cardi). These three polishes would see me through all seasons! Unfortunately, all three of them burst. To be perfectly honest, a little crying happened. I am still yet to pick up a replacement nail polish on my trip, I am far too traumatised (and can’t decide on a colour).
After the nail polish debarcle, I realised after some time that my nails and toes were painted when I left, and now I had no colour to touch it up. I also happened to forget nail polish remover. *facepalm* I picked up a cheap drugstore branded polish remover to get me by. It worked really well actually!
The next packing faux pas was packing a pair of thongs (shoes that is non-Australians). While they’ve been great and I’ve been wearing them a tonne, I really wish I had brought comfortable sandals that could be dressed up OR down.
Lastly, while I love LUSH Solid Shampoo Bars, it really didn’t work well on my travels. It was difficult to store (those LUSH tins are impossible for me to open!) and after transferring to a sealed bag, it was soggy and pretty unusable. So bummed.
What are your packing mistakes?
